Puritanis

What is it about?

Germany, 2034: The country is no longer governed; it is being liquidated. Under the regime of the “Insolvency Administrator” it is not laws that decide over life and death, but the raw profitability of every individual in the state’s ledgers. Severin dares to look behind the gleaming facade of the Protection Zones and finds himself caught in a war between the cold logic of power and unpredictable humanity.

“Puritanis” is the chronicle of a collapse where the most dangerous weapon is not a gun, but the red pen in the balance sheets.

Things rarely go according to plan. Neither in life nor in novels. Right now, my protagonists Severin and Bernd are pinned down in a pretty tight spot: an old factory hall, nervous security forces outside, and inside, the people the system has chewed up and spat out.

I know exactly what needs to happen next: Severin has to get back to the Zone, to his laptop, to publish the truth about the Insolvency Administrator. The “What” is crystal clear. The “How,” however, is my major glitch. I’m staring at the screen, suffering from a classic plot blackout.
